THE HARMONISED COMMODITY DESCRIPTION & CODING SYSTEM 2021
The HS coding system is used globally to ease trade and classify different types of goods. At Label Craft Ireland we have customer orders inside and outside of Ireland, across Europe and the UK. For our customers purchasing from outside of the UK and UK customers wishing to export labels, you may at some stage be required to provide an HS or commodity code.
Commodity or HS Codes are used by customs and logistics providers for a variety of purposes, from calculating duties and tariffs to ensuring that an importer is not importing banned or hazardous products. The codes provided on this page should be sufficient most of the time, however if you are unsure and /or need assistance we have also provided links to useful informational websites at the end of this article.
